Before that we had "Glow" by Upright Figurine, and "Creepy Crawly" by Cassius Lives. This album was something different. Those two words say it all. I went out of my comfort zone, and reached out to people to collaborate on music, which is not something I often do. Some of the collaborations happened, and some didn't. What you see hear is the music written during that time. It is a portrait of that time, and of those who helped me out. To them I am grateful. To those that ended up not being on the album, there is always the future.

I wanted to create an album that shows my city of Eau Claire, outside of what the media, and the mainstream perception of it is. We have so many talented people in it who DON'T sound like mating whales, and this album showcases a few of them. To get these performances, not only did I step out of my comfort zone, I made my collaborators do so as well. We found sounds that we didn't think we could make, and created music that maybe shouldn't be, and yet here it is.

So enjoy these snapshots.We took them for you, and for all of Eau Claire. These are our stories.
